The short version
There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or any document. Your study progress stays on your device. We do use two third-party services — one for anonymous usage statistics and one to handle purchases — and both are described below.
What stays on your device
The following is stored locally on your iPhone and is never sent to us:
- Which questions you have answered and which you got wrong
- Your mock exam history and scores
- Your app settings and the answers you gave during setup
- Whether you have purchased full access
Deleting the app deletes all of it. We keep no copy and cannot restore it.
Anonymous usage statistics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used — for example how many people reach the mock exam, or where people stop during setup. This helps us fix what is confusing.
These events are not tied to your identity. We do not send your name, email address, or the content of your answers. PostHog assigns a random identifier to the installation and records the country your App Store account is in, your device type and iOS version.
Purchases
Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is valid and to restore it on your other devices. RevenueCat receives the anonymous identifier for your installation and the receipt Apple issues. It does not receive your name or payment details.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers
- No selling or sharing of data with data brokers
- No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites
- No location data
- No access to your contacts, photos, microphone or camera
Children
This app is aimed at adults preparing for Australian citizenship. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 you may ask what data relates to you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to its use. Because the app has no account, the simplest way to erase everything held on your device is to delete the app. For the anonymous statistics described above, email us and we will remove the records for your installation identifier.
You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
